You’ve Come to The Right Place to Learn Tools & Techniques

We all have to start somewhere and if you have rocks and a rotary tool you’re ready to begin!

Rocks

There is no need for expensive tools or even to buy any rocks.

I really believe one of the attractions of carving rocks is you can get them for free.

Looking for rocks ’cause they are free.

They are everywhere. Bend over and pick one up! Go to your yard and get a piece of yardenite. (I made that word up when asked on a Facebook group what types of rocks I use. LOL!)

Dremel Rotary Tool
The Dremel 8220 is a good starter tool.

The Dremel 8220 is a great little starter tool that can be picked up at most hardware stores as well as Amazon. I have provided a text/image link below if you would like to check it out there.

One thing about the brand DREMEL is it is about the same cost everywhere.

When you start buying different bits & burrs you’ll notice the prices vary from very inexpensive to expensive. Some 50 piece kits can be purchased for $10 whereas I have paid $70 for a 10 piece kit.

The $10 set is a diamond-coated which were down quickly and the $70 set is sintered. These are embedded in the burr and as they ear down new exposed diamonds come to life.
